A 30-minute technique-focused class designed to refine foundational
strokes, build endurance, and introduce streamlined movement. Children will
master coordinated swimming for short distances, preparing them for formal
learn-to-swim levels.

Description

PreSchool 3 is the capstone class for our preschool program, designed for the
advanced pre-school swimmer ready to bridge the gap to our school-age
curriculum. This class shifts focus from skill introduction to skill refinement.
emphasizing proper technique, increased distance, and efficient movement
through the water. Our certified instructors provide detailed feedback to help
children master the core components of freestyle and backstroke, building
the strength and coordination needed for continuous swimming. This class
ensures a confident and technically sound transition to the next stage of their
aquatic education.

Focus / Goals:
1. Refining stroke technique for efficiency and proper form
2. Building swimming endurance for increased distance
3. Mastering streamlined body movement for propulsion

Skills Mastered:
· Streamline push-offs from the pool wall
· Freestyle without a kickboard for 5 yards with proper form (rhythmic
breathing, coordinated arms and legs)
· Backstroke for 5 yards without a kickboard, maintaining a horizontal
body position
· Integrated rolling breath while performing freestyle

Step-by-step Roadmap (First 4 Weeks):

Week 1 Streamline & Propulsion: Mastering the streamline push-off from the
wall and gliding. Refining freestyle arm technique and body rotation without
a kickboard for short distances.

Week 2 Freestyle for Distance: Building freestyle endurance to achieve the
5-yard goal. Focusing on consistent side-breathing and a strong, steady flutter
kick.

Week 3 Backstroke Technique: Practicing backstroke for distance, focusing
on a stable, horizontal body position, straight arm recovery, and continuous
kicking.

Week 4 Skill Integration & Assessment: Combining all mastered skills in
continuous practice. Demonstrating the ability to perform both freestyle and
Backstroke for 5 yards with technical proficiency.

What to Bring:
A swimsuit, towel, and goggles are required. A water bottle for hydration is
recommended.

Class Size & Format:
Small group (maximum 5 students). This ensures a high level of individual
attention for technical correction.

Recommended Frequency:
Once per week for consistent technical progress and endurance building.

Progression:
Upon mastery, children graduate to Level 1: LEARN TO SWIM, where they will
build endurance and learn new water safety skills
